Description
Included Activities:
- Red rods are a hands-on way for your child to explore a linear counting system (a system that counts up by one each time) without numbers or symbols. After they have learned how to build the stair step pattern, your child can continue learning with many more red rods based Montessori activities.
- Number rods build on your child’s learning with the red rods by adding colored segments to show length. After building the stair step patterns, your child will learn to count and identify number 1-10 using the Montessori Three Period Lesson (don’t worry, step-by-step instructions are included!)
- Sandpaper numbers provide a multi-sense way to learn the names and formation of number symbols- children can see, feel, and hear each number! Through a careful progression of Montessori activities, your child will learn to identify and write numbers 1-9.
- Number rods and cards is the final activity in the Beginning Numeracy series. Your child will practice matching a quantity (the number rod) to a number symbol (the sandpaper number), showing their understanding of numbers 1-9.
